Conductor ACSR/AS
What is ACSR/AS Conductor?
Conductor ACSR/AS , 1350-H19 aluminum alloy wires, concentrically braided around an aluminum clad steel core.
Steel core: reinforced aluminum clad steel. Steel center core improves conductor tensile strength, making it suitable for long stretches and areas with high mechanical loads.
Aluminum alloy outer layer: The outer layer is made of aluminum alloys or cold drawn aluminum, providing excellent electrical conductivity and lightweight properties.
The key difference between ACSR and ACSR/AS lies in the type of aluminum used. Also steel core: ACSR/AS steel core is reinforced with aluminum clad steel. ACSR/AS conductors use a more corrosion resistant aluminum alloy, making them especially suitable for harsh environments, such as coastal or industrial regions.

ACSR/AS conductor standards
ACSR/AS conductors meet various international standards to ensure safety and performance, between them:
ASTM B232: Specification for Concentric Stranded Aluminum Conductors with Steel Cores.
ASTM B-549 ASTM B 524
IEC 61089: International standard for overhead electrical conductors.
BS EN 50182: Specification for conductors for overhead lines.
Compliance with these standards ensures that conductors meet the strict requirements of modern power transmission systems.
