Structure of the 15kV URD CABLE

15kV Cable URD with XLPE insulation, configuration 1/3 neutral. Rated load capacity of 100% and overload capacity 133%. It is used in underground electrical distribution systems to provide reliable power to communities and residential areas..

Drivers: Solid or Class B Compressed concentric thread Aluminum alloy 1350 or soft drawn annealed copper according to ASTM.

conductor shield: Extruded thermostable semiconductor shield that releases freely from the conductor and bonds to the insulation.

Isolation: XLPE

Isolation shield: Extruded thermostable semiconductor shield with controlled adhesion to insulation providing the required balance between electrical integrity and ease of stripping.

Metal shield: Solid Bare Copper Wires, applied helically and evenly spaced.

Deck: Linear low density polyethylene, insulating, sunlight resistant and black, encapsulating the neutral wires with three extruded red stripes.
