Konduktor ACSS
ACSS y ACSS/AW y ACSS/TW se utilizan para líneas aéreas de distribución y transmisión. Están diseñados para mantener la resistencia incluso a temperaturas de hasta 250°C, minimizando el pandeo bajo cargas eléctricas de emergencia mejor que el ACSR/AW. Cuando se pretensa durante la instalación, el ACSS/AW presenta propiedades de autoamortiguación, que no se ven afectadas por la fluencia a largo plazo del aluminio. Estas ventajas hacen que el ACSS/AW sea especialmente beneficioso para proyectos de reconducción que requieren un aumento de la corriente dentro de las tensiones y holguras existentes, así como para instalaciones de líneas nuevas en las que la reducción de la flecha del conductor permite estructuras más económicas. También es ideal para las líneas que requieren altas cargas de emergencia y las propensas a problemas de vibraciones eólicas.
El ACSS/AW presenta una resistencia similar al ACSS, junto con una ampacidad ligeramente superior y una mayor resistencia a la corrosión gracias a sus alambres con núcleo de acero revestido de aluminio.
El ACSS/TW, por su parte, está diseñado para líneas aéreas de distribución y transmisión, y ofrece un funcionamiento continuo a temperaturas elevadas de hasta 250 °C sin pérdida de resistencia. Experimenta un menor pandeo bajo cargas eléctricas de emergencia en comparación con el ACSR/TW y presenta excelentes características de autoamortiguación. Al igual que el ACSS/AW, sus flechas finales son impermeables a la fluencia a largo plazo del aluminio.
ACSS/TW Conductor
ACSS es un conductor compuesto de trenzado concéntrico en el que los hilos de acero forman el núcleo central, alrededor del cual se trenzan dos o más capas de hilos de aluminio recocido 1350-O. El núcleo de acero soporta la mayor parte de la carga mecánica debido al temple blando del aluminio. El núcleo de acero está protegido contra la corrosión mediante un revestimiento de aleación de zinc-5% de aluminio-mismetal. El ACSS/AW también es un conductor compuesto de trenzado concéntrico con un núcleo central de acero y una o más capas de alambres de aluminio recocido 1350-O trenzados a su alrededor. De forma similar al ACSS, el núcleo de acero soporta la carga mecánica debida al temple blando del aluminio, pero en este caso los alambres del núcleo de acero están protegidos de la corrosión por un revestimiento de aluminio.
El ACSS/TW, otro conductor compuesto de trenzado concéntrico, presenta un núcleo central de acero rodeado por una o más capas de alambres de aluminio 1350-O de conductividad media mínima del 63%. El núcleo de acero soporta la carga mecánica debida al temple blando del aluminio, protegido de la corrosión por un revestimiento de aleación de zinc-5% de aluminio-mismetal. También hay disponibles variantes con núcleo de acero de alta resistencia, aluminizado y revestido de aluminio.
